It’s turning into a DP World Tour. DP winning by one point on the day with 29 points and on his way beating the defending Matchplay champion (Steve) to progress to the next round to have a battle with Tony. Ever heard of anyone winning a golf day by not parring a single hole? WOW!!!

In second place and being punished again with a cut to -2.1 is Rob. Everyone needs to pull their finger out and give this poor lad some shots back. It is no fun playing off that handicap. Hitting 28 points is a round and a half. The round included a fabulous eagle. Rob will tell you all about it. I don’t think you will need to ask him either. In third on countback and looking like my next opponent in the Matchplay was Nick with 28 points and a birdie. It was unfortunate that Richard lost power in his trolley. Looks like he missed the best part of the course, the back 9. Let’s hope he gets it fixed before the next one.

What a fabulous day we had with regards the course, weather and the new tweaked prizes. I hope these were well received. More will be available at future events.

Paris Olympics have introduced a new event. We have one member who would win the gold medal. The new event is chasing after your trolley down the fairway. So, his name has been put forward as it is done regularly and very proficiently.

As usual the breakfast was great and so was the course. Wasn’t expecting a couple of bare lies though in the middle of the fairway. Otherwise, another great day with some good golf (ish).

The Players 2024 weekend away. Can I ask everyone that is going to the Players weekend away to pay their remaining balance of £300 or whatever you have left to pay by 7th June 2024 please? Please let me know once you have done this. We still have places left so please let me know asap if you would like to go. We will either take 20 or 24 players, nothing in between as it messes with the team format we have planned for the weekend.

Results from the little survey are as follows: The Chase Golf Club event has now been rescheduled for.....wait for it Shane....Sunday 21st July 2024 with a 1st tee off time of 13:04.
Wednesday 17th July 2024 Ansty Golf Club (Non-Qualifier) has been booked. Tee time is 2pm followed by a curry at The Windsor Tiffin.  The cost is £30 which includes a buggy to share.
